Sometimes deciding on the smaller details, the details that may not be noticed or even seen by people, are the most difficult decisions to make. The caseback design for the Royalguard was one area where this rang true. Ultimately, a love for simple, tool-watch and military-inspired designs won out and what you see on the Royalguard today is a clean, simple yet elegant, vintage-inspired design.
As a watch modder, I naturally had to first build my own prototype! After a lot of sanding and careful case work, I created the first Royalguard prototype that led to the creation of what you now see today!
